Cauliflower & Broccoli Cheese With More Cheese

So cauliflower cheese is a pretty calorific comfort food, so why not just add some more cheese to it? well thats what i did, at least you’re getting some greens i guess.

Ingredients:

  • whole cauliflower
  • some broccoli
  • cup of flower
  • quarter butter
  • 300ml milk
  • half a block of cheese (use the photo below to get an idea)
  • 1 vegetable stock cube

Step 1: Cut your cauliflower and broccoli into decent size chunks, put onto the boil for around 5 minutes and no more, drain them off and let them rest

Step 2: Melt the butter into the pan, and slowly start to add the flower a bit at a time, until it starts to thicken, then add the milk and put on a low heat for five minutes stirring constantly

 Step 3: Now add the cheese and vegetable stock, stir until they have both dissolved into the sauce, season with salt and pepper

Step 4: Plate update the cauliflower and broccoli into your dishes, and fill up with your cheese sauce, sprinkle some more cheese on top to give it a bit of crust

Step 5: Put into the oven at 170° for 20 minutes and 200° for the final 10

Step 6: Take it out of the oven, let it cool down and it’s all yours to eat, enjoy
